Content Selection Criteria

Every quote, shayari, or wish in our collection must meet these criteria:

  1. Emotional Depth: Content must offer genuine emotional resonance, not generic or superficial statements.
  2. Originality Check: We verify content isn't duplicated from other major platforms. Each piece adds unique value.
  3. Attribution Accuracy: Quotes are verified against original sources where possible. We mark verification status (Verified, Attributed, or Unknown).
  4. Cultural Appropriateness: Content must respect diverse traditions, religions, and family values across Indian culture.
  5. Language Quality: Proper grammar, spelling, and literary quality in both English and Hindi.
  6. Practical Usefulness: Content should be shareable and appropriate for real-world occasions.

Content Review Process

  1. Sourcing: Content is sourced from classical literature, modern voices, community submissions, and original writing by our team.
  2. Verification: Attribution is checked against known databases, books, and verified speech transcripts.
  3. Quality Review: Every message is reviewed for emotional depth, originality, and grammatical accuracy.
  4. Cultural Sensitivity Check: Content is evaluated for cultural appropriateness, religious sensitivity, and family values alignment.
  5. Categorization: Content is tagged with appropriate occasion, relation, emotion, and tone markers.
  6. Editor Sign-off: A senior editor approves all content before publication with their byline.

Attribution Standards

We take source attribution seriously:

  • Verified: Source confirmed through books, official transcripts, or reliable databases. Marked with โœ“ badge.
  • Attributed: Commonly attributed to an author but not independently verified. Marked with attribution note.
  • Unknown: Source cannot be confirmed. Marked with "Source uncertain" disclaimer.
  • Each verified item includes: original source (book/speech), year, and last verification date.
  • We re-verify attributions annually and update when new evidence surfaces.

Content Update Policy

  • Seasonal pages (Diwali, Holi, Raksha Bandhan, etc.) are refreshed 2-4 weeks before the occasion
  • Evergreen content is reviewed quarterly for quality and relevance
  • New content is added weekly across all categories (10-20 items per week)
  • Outdated or low-performing content is either improved or archived
  • All pages display accurate "Last Updated" timestamps reflecting actual content changes

Community Submissions

We accept community-submitted quotes, shayari, and wishes:

  • All submissions go through our full editorial review before publication
  • Approved submissions are published with "Community Submitted" badge
  • Submitters are credited by name (if provided)
  • We aim to review submissions within 48 hours
  • Spam prevention measures are in place (rate limiting, manual moderation)

AI and Technology

EmotionHub content is human-curated and editorially reviewed. We may use AI tools to assist with categorization, thematic analysis, and metadata generation, but all published content is selected and approved by human editors for emotional authenticity, cultural sensitivity, and quality.

Quality Metrics We Track

  • User engagement (votes, shares, saves) to identify high-value content
  • Attribution verification rate (currently 60%+ of quotes are verified)
  • Content freshness (pages updated within last 30 days)
  • User feedback and error reports (responded within 48 hours)
